We did the round trip from the Sion footbridge to Sierre, (car at the Roches Brunes covered car park) next to the footbridge. 33.5 km round trip, a real treat, on the paved cycle path, very often in the shade of large trees lining the Rhône. Possibilities for swimming in natural lakes. Magnificent landscapes. A&G

Here you can cycle along a quiet cycle path between the golf course and the Rhone. On one side you can see the orchards and on the other side you can admire the steep slopes with their equally neat vines.

The road up from Aven to Derborence is an absolute highlight. You always feel like you've been transported to the most beautiful Gorges de la Provence. Small, winding roads flanked by barren, mighty cliffs on one side and a steep precipice down to the Lizerne on the other. Over the years, the Lizerne has cut an impressive gorge into the landscape. A special highlight are the road tunnels along the route. A true work of craftsmanship from the old days. Be sure to bring lights with you. Some of the tunnels are relatively long and the roads narrow.
