The waterfall is located specifically in the La Suiza region, it is a route of approximately 18 kilometers from the urban area of Pereira. If coming by public transport, you can take the local transport chiva in front of the Victoria Shopping Center (on Calle 17). The company responsible for the service is Transportes La Florida. The established departure times are: From Monday to Friday: Single departure at 9:00 a.m. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays: Departure at 7:00 a.m. This transport will leave us on the main local road and from the drop-off point, a short walk of 500 meters must be made to reach the control house (Finca Buenos Aires). As an alternative to the chiva, there is the urban bus that departs with an average frequency of one hour, also from the stops located in front of the Victoria Shopping Center (Calle 17). It should be noted that this route has the La Florida region as its final destination. From there, you will have to walk approximately 6 kilometers on an unpaved road to reach the meeting point. Due to the distance, most independent hikers opt for this alternative only on the way back, descending on foot after finishing the tour to connect with the frequent buses to Pereira. If you have your own vehicle, car or motorcycle, you should be aware that the stretch connecting La Florida with the control post is an unpaved road, but it is possible to park the vehicle safely there. The tour is guided and to enter, you must make a reservation about three days in advance. The company responsible is known as Yarumo Blanco, the cost of the tour is approximately $50,000 pesos and includes lunch upon return. It is a circuit of approximately 3.4 kilometers in distance and is completed in about 3 hours of walking with breaks. Along the trail, you walk through Andean cloud forests, and if we are lucky, we may spot howler monkeys, Andean Pavas, spectacled bears, etc. At the end of the hike, our reward is the imposing Los Frailes waterfall with a 70-meter drop. It is of utmost importance to mention that scheduled group excursions operate only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. If the activity needs to be carried out on a different weekday, it will be structured as a personalized private tour, which involves a variation in the base rate.

The Cascada Santa Rita is a popular natural destination in the private nature reserve Reserva Natural Santa Rita in the Boquía sector. The hike to the waterfall is considered relatively easy and leads through a picturesque landscape with cow pastures, rivers, and old tunnels. A popular circular route is about 7.9 km long and takes an average of 3.5 to 4 hours. The approximately 20-meter-high waterfall plunges into a natural pool that invites swimming. Access to the private property is subject to a fee. The price is 11,000 Colombian pesos, with visitors gladly welcomed with a free coffee.

The waterfall is not very impressive, but the area is a popular destination for hiking and trail running. Visitors often use the excursions to swim in the nearby Río El Roble.

Santa Rita Waterfall, in Boquía, is a waterfall surrounded by rainforest, offering a cool and tranquil atmosphere. Access is via an easy trail, and upon arrival, you'll find a pool where you can get a little wet and relax. It's recommended to wear non-slip shoes, as the rocks around the waterfall are often wet.

There are no roads at all, you have to guess where to go. I got lost for several hours there, you have to go through purely private properties and it is dangerous. I do not recommend it at all, they should remove it from the app.
