Absolutely beautiful! When we were there, the area was wonderfully empty.

A rooty, rough, and somewhat remote trail. Nevertheless, it's a fun ride, with a beautiful and, in places, rustic route and a convenient downhill finish, right at the charcoal kiln festival grounds. A large "Kiln Festival" takes place there once a year.

May 2025: Accidentally took a wrong turn. WARNING! It's not rideable! The further you go, the worse it gets. Even dangerous on foot, as parts of the path have collapsed! Tour 18 of the Pfälzer Wald MTB Park no longer goes here and has long avoided this section for good reason!

Absolutely recommended going down the hill! Be careful, there are a few trees lying across it.

Rode it for the first time today. From east to west. Beautiful trail up the mountain, fun. But from the sharp bend onwards it gets really bad. No longer rideable. Overgrown, thorns, holes. I'm totally scratched. It's a shame about the path, why? It used to be part of the MTB park.

Not really rideable at the moment because everything is overgrown. The path has also partially slipped due to the rain. After what felt like 5 ticks, 6 flat tires, hundreds of mosquitoes and horseflies, and torn arms and legs because of the blackberry bushes, I finally managed to fight my way up with the bike under my arm. Something different I must say. 🤣
