In 1901, the Erzgebirge branch association in Zwickau began designing the area around the Bellmann fountain. The area was planted with oak trees and the Bellmann hut was built thanks to donations from a member. The place was planned for gatherings of larger groups. The first approved celebrations took place in 1909. In 1930, the grounds were redesigned according to plans by the landscape architect Paul Lorenz. The inspiration for this came from the local Erzgebirge branch association, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in the same year. A memorial stone erected on this occasion still commemorates this today. In the 1970s, the complex was given its current appearance. The elaborate path with wooden bridges, walkways and steps was replaced by a simple staircase that leads from the square down to the spring. So I cycled along there today.. Not bad, but you have to find your way differently because the actual path is no longer passable (it was built on).. had to go up a steep hill through a forest landscape with roots that protruded almost 20cm from the ground.. But all in all the whole tour was nice and relaxing.

Set of stairs with a drop at the bottom - from the wall on the left The front wheel tends to end up in the rain gutter, which is probably not good for the suspension fork 😬

Small bike park created by the parish in Beiersdorf. Very clean and civilized, open to all, with small free registration by form in the vicarage, ... Distances are not long but it is enough to practice jumping. Stick "Hard" and jump ramp are just awesome :o
