Cool route, but is also frequented by hikers. Since the trees are close together, this often causes surprises...

Nice flowing trail through the forest

An easy single trail runs parallel to the road from Jahrsfeld to Hardert. The route was great fun. And above Hardert you have a great view of the Montabaurerhöhe with the Köppel, to the east and to the Neuwied basin and the Eifel to the south.

It would actually be a short, nice single trail that deserves the name. But unfortunately it does not seem desirable to continue driving on the section. At the end of the wide driveway there is a high and wide wall made of dead wood. The wide forest path becomes a dead end. Anyone who still uses the trail past the obstacle is probably no longer on an official path. In any case, I will no longer use the section. As of May 3, 2021

Thanks for pointing out the duplicates. Always check that, but strangely enough, these are sometimes not visible when using the app and the picture on the PC is different. Have you already reported the duplicate, otherwise I'll submit something. 👍🏼😉

Hello @Zwenne, great video. Was here now and mapped the trail with S1 +, as it is very narrow and on a slope. Very nice corner. Are you aware that this highlight has already existed and not everyone is a fan of duplicates?

As @ Vectra130 writes, the trail is from the perspective of a beginner who feels unsafe on the precipice (like me) maybe not as '0+'

While Eulenberg itself is renowned for the challenging Eulenberg-Strecke mountain bike route, it does not feature dedicated bike parks with engineered features like downhill runs or lifts. The focus here is on natural trails and an immersive cycling experience through the diverse landscapes of the Waldviertel region.
The Eulenberg-Strecke is a difficult mountain bike tour, ideal for experienced riders seeking a robust challenge. It spans approximately 40.92 kilometers with an ascent of around 311 meters, featuring varied terrain including gravel, paved, unpaved, asphalt, and loose gravel sections. It offers picturesque scenery through forests, lakes, and unique rock formations.
Beyond the Eulenberg-Strecke, the region offers several well-regarded trails. The Buckelweg singletrack Jahrsfeld–Hardert is an easy-to-ride hump path with nice curves and views of the Montabaurerhöhe. For a more challenging ride, the Ilsenstein S1 Trail offers narrow, flowy paths, while the Reichenstein Castle Ruins Trail provides a good flow with steps towards the end requiring precise technique.
While the Eulenberg-Strecke is challenging, the wider Lower Austria region offers options for families. For instance, the Mini-Bikepark Annaberg is designed primarily for younger cyclists and beginners, focusing on skill improvement, coordination, and balance. The Buckelweg singletrack Jahrsfeld–Hardert is also noted as an easy single trail suitable for beginners.
The Eulenberg region, part of the Waldviertel, is characterized by its natural beauty. You'll encounter dense forests, serene lakes, and unique rock formations. Trails like the Singletrail 23 in Naturpark Rhein-Westerwald offer scenic routes through lush forest landscapes.
The best time to visit for mountain biking in the Eulenberg region is typically during the warmer months, from spring through autumn. This ensures favorable weather conditions and dry trails, making for a more enjoyable and safer experience on the varied terrain.
Beyond mountain biking, the area around Eulenberg offers a variety of outdoor activities. You can explore numerous hiking trails, including easy options like the View of Burglahr Castle Ruin loop. There are also dedicated running trails, such as the Suspension Bridge Over the Wied loop, providing diverse ways to experience the natural surroundings.
