Eldorado - Verwall Bike Area

Highlight • MTB Park

The bike area is the new highlight in St. Anton am Arlberg. Here you'll find everything you need to have an action-packed time on your bike or to polish up your bike skills a little: the pump track invites you to do a few fast laps. On the Northshore Trail you can let off steam when it comes to drops and balance, and tricky challenges await you on the obstacle course.

The entire Verwall bike area is looked after by two guides who are always available to give tips and tricks. You can bring your own bikes for the pump track, the Northshore Trail and the drop-offs. Of course, you can also rent dirt bikes from the rental shop on site.

The new highlight is the E-Trial course, where you can do laps on KTM's E-motocross bikes. Perfect as an alternative to classic mountain biking or simply as the crowning glory of the bike area - fun and action are guaranteed on an E-motocross.

The bike area is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the summer season. Note: The pump track is only accessible to people aged 12 and over and the e-trail is only accessible to people aged 18 and over. Helmets are mandatory throughout the bike area!

This S2 downhill from the Rauhen Joch to Dalaas demands all the stops, a technical trail descends 600 meters into the valley. Those who have to dismount can enjoy the excellent panorama for longer.

Young and old alike love to visit the Sonnenkopf family and adventure mountain again and again. While the children have fun in the LEGENDARY BEAR LAND, the adults won't get bored either. In the Sonnenkopf panoramic mountain restaurant at almost 2,000 m above sea level, you will be spoiled with varied daily specials, hearty snacks and a large selection of cakes and ice cream sundaes. On the large sun terrace, sun worshippers can enjoy the beautiful mountain panorama in a cozy atmosphere. In the midst of a fantastically beautiful and almost untouched natural backdrop, relaxing and eventful hours can be spent. The healthy mountain air and the crystal-clear mountain water also have a very positive effect on health. People who suffer from allergies in particular feel particularly comfortable in the mountains! Source: https://www.sonnenkopf.com/de/

The descent is technically demanding with S3 in places. Therefore only recommended for experienced riders/XC fans. Uphill is not recommended, better alternative via Klösterle to Spullersee - for XC fans uphill is also possible almost without dismounting.

We rode the Steinbock-Weg (Stebok-Wäg) in mid-July 2023 after 2 days of heavy thunderstorms. The path was completely washed out and very difficult to ride in the first third, definitely S3 and definitely not S2. We pushed almost everything on this first section. The last two thirds are then easier (mostly S1 with many S2 sections) and still reasonably rideable for normal bikers. Anyone travelling with bike luggage on an Alpine crossing (Heckmair route or similar) should consider the descent from Spullersee to Klösterle as an alternative. This alternative is S1 in the upper third with S2 sections and very easy to ride downhill. There is an official driving ban, but there is also a driving ban sign at the very beginning of the "Stebock-Wäg" ....

This S2 passage has it all. We had a lot of fun but after 47 km in the bones it wasn't easy and this trail demands maximum concentration. We had to push a few short passages because it was wet and very stubborn.
