Definitely the hardest thing Freiburg has to offer. Much too difficult for me as a beginner.

For me, the Hexentrail is the most beautiful trail in the Freiburg area. It is not as technically demanding as Canadian, Borderline or Baden to the Bone, but it has something to offer for all levels of difficulty. It is suitable for beginners, but the necessary respect should not be lacking. Even for advanced riders, jumps, higher steps and flowing sections alternate. A really successful trail in itself. You can also see the work that Mountainbike Freiburg e. V. puts into it. The trail is constantly being improved and new elements added. Thank you very much for your work.

Now the more challenging part of the descent begins. But the further down you go, the flowier it becomes. Be sure to wear protective gear!

First up to the Schauinsland and then down the Badish Moon Rising and the Canadian is really fun. The Moon Rising is very rocky and technically demanding at the beginning. Then it changes into a flowing section up to the Sohlacker. From here you can go up to the Kybfelsen again and ride the Canadian from above. In this section the Canadian is very rocky. Personally I don't enjoy it that much. From the Sohlacker you can also take a forest road to the Rehhaghütte and from there join the Canadian. From here it's a really great trail. Really fun. But only for advanced riders.

This trail is not for everyone as mentioned above. It requires experience and is not for beginners!!! Please leave these sayings, unfortunately the emergency doctor has to be called too often.

It's always worth making a detour to the Canadian Trail. You have to cope with the ascent, but afterwards a beautiful view and later a varied trail await you.
