A wonderful, varied trail. Very well signposted, with numerous information panels about history and nature. A very short stretch runs along a quiet road, which you cross twice. There's a large parking lot, a nice, odor-free outhouse, and an information and barbecue pavilion at the beginning and end of the hike. Not quite halfway along, there's a picnic area (at the Dullaberg "summit" cross). For provisions or to refuel, we recommend a visit to the ICA NÄRE (a small shop with a café) in Lidhult.

We absolutely can't find the way. It's a real shame. We've tried three times already to park and start walking. No chance, because we can't find the parking lot.

It's a wonderful hike but I wouldn't describe it as easy. In parts it is very impassable and involves easy climbing. The journey is worth it - but you should be prepared for it.

Hästhultsskogen is a nature reserve whose pine forest has been untouched by humans for 150 years and is home to many old trees. What is special is the very high proportion of dead wood, which was increased by the Gudrun storm in 2005. There is a small hiking trail with many explanatory signs also in German. This is very instructive to get an impression of a natural forest that hardly exists today. There are also tons of blueberry bushes.

A truly impressive stone wall, made of stones collected from the surrounding fields... Today, these fields are mostly planted with forest. Unfortunately, the story behind it is less pleasant, as it is the story of the Great Famine of the 1860s. The landowner of nearby Runnarsköp exploited his position as the person responsible for distributing food aid to the needy and had them clear his land by laboring to remove the stones. This was the only way they could receive the aid.

Probably the widest natural stone wall in the world.
