Fun descent. Steep in places, some nice technical chunky rocks / rooty bits. Probably not one for a beginner. Komoot tried to route me down here on a gravel ride, but I would not recommend coming down here on a gravel bike.

Eat your sweets and drink your energy drink, this tough, steep, gravel climb is the famous Wharny climb! Your legs may fall off and your lungs fall out, but when you’re at the top ready to hit the trails, nothing is better 🥳

Another challenging option is the Fox Hagg Descent, known for its steep, technical, and rocky sections.

Lady Canning's Plantation also features 'Cooking on Gas,' a more mellow and cruisable trail with large berms, suitable for a relaxed ride.
The Wharny Climb, while challenging, offers rewarding views from the top of Wharncliffe Woods. The sense of wilderness and natural beauty along the Cut Gate Trail also provides scenic experiences, particularly connecting Ladybower with the Trans Pennine Trail.
