Hi everyone, does the trail still exist? Is the location on the map reliable? Are there directions? Thanks.

I don't know how it is now, with the MTB it was an S1 so easy but not really flow. I couldn't answer. I admire you with those handlebars when I meet you on some really rough dirt roads. I would never do it, but as I said before, I often meet gravellists even on worse terrain....maybe next to the bike or with the bike on their shoulders, but I'm there 😉

Hi everyone, how's the track doing? We were thinking of taking a ride tomorrow and since we're just passing through, we'll try it out ;)

This little track is very nice if maintained, which is not always the case.

Technically quite difficult, at least S1 if not S2. Too risky when wet as there are lots of roots.

Good trail that encourages you to do more.

These allow beginners and families to enjoy the scenic routes.
Experienced riders will find plenty of challenges. The area is known for its enduro and downhill sections. For instance, 'Patanegra' is a black DH trail with a significant drop, offering an adrenaline-filled ride. The 'Marathon Trail' is a classic 29 km route with challenging climbs and flowy descents. You can also explore trails like Trail from Torello, which is described as technically quite difficult.
Some highly regarded trails include the Trail from Torello, known for its flowy upper part and stony lower sections. Another favorite is the Torello–Carabbia Trail, an intermediate route offering views of Lake Lugano. The Nice S1 section, fully rideable, near the castle, is also popular for its enjoyable, albeit not entirely flowy, ride.
Many trails offer stunning panoramic views of Lake Ceresio and the Lugano basin from viewpoints like Sasso Paradiso and Rocce Rosse. You can also encounter historical highlights, such as the ruins of Cuasso Castle and remnants of the Cadorna Line, including bunkers and trenches from the Great War, integrated into the routes.

Yes, bike wash facilities are available at Agriturismo Cascina Paradiso, allowing you to clean your bike after a day on the trails.
The trails in Cuasso al Monte are generally suitable for all seasons. However, spring and autumn often offer the most pleasant weather for riding, with comfortable temperatures and vibrant natural scenery. Always check local weather conditions before heading out, especially during wetter periods, as some trails can become risky due to roots.

There are also scenic cycling routes around Lake Lugano, like the difficult Lake Lugano – Branch Promenade loop from Porto Ceresio, and running trails, including the Lakeside view of Porto Ceresio loop.
While the area is primarily known for its extensive natural trail network, you can find specific spots like Stabio Freeride Park, which offers a well-kept DH pistino for training. The 'Happy Mountain' trails also feature technical sections with rock gardens and jumps, and black flow-tracks ideal for skill development.
