Il Capo di Alì Terme (Me). A beautiful stretch of beach with large sea stacks both in the sea and on the beach itself, from which you can start climbing up to the State Road (n.113) above. In fact, there are rings attached to the sea stack on the beach and on the nearby slope, useful for climbing back up. The view of the sea is spectacular, and you can shelter from the wind (which when it blows... it really blows!) in natural niches in the rock. A little further away, to the north, continuing along the beach, you can visit an old, disused signalman's house along the Scaletta Zanclea-Alì Terme railway line; and even further on, an old Coastal Defence bunker. See the relative highlights for both.

Monte Scuderi, the magical mountain, full of hidden treasures. It is said that to reveal (find) the immense treasure hidden at the top of the mountain (the "Trovatura," as these hidden treasures are called in Sicily), one must first catch three fish from the Sea of Ali. They must then be brought "still alive" and on a "handkerchief woven by a virgin" to the top of the mountain. There, they will be cooked, and from them will emerge a huge serpent that will coil three times around the seeker's body. However, the seeker must not be afraid, or he will end up in distant, desolate lands. Once this is done precisely and carefully, a crack will open in the mountain, and upon entering, he will find a hen with seven chicks made of solid gold. Now, I don't know if I've remembered this story correctly, but the fact remains that Monte Scuderi has always represented a magical mountain, full of mystery, for the citizens of the villages below. From its flat summit, a 360° view of the surrounding area is offered. And a cave, visitable where the treasure could actually be found

The Piano Vernà equipped area is located just below Mount Pizzo Vernà. It can be reached by car up to its gate, going up from the town of Rimiti. Once you reach the gate, you walk down for about 200 m. Very pleasant area, with tables and fire points, and a beautiful fountain. There is also a hut. Bivouackable

Excellent spring with always fresh water. It has a good flow rate despite the dry period. It is an obligatory stop every time you cross the Dorsale dei Peloritani

Unfortunately in this dry season the flow is very minimal. A little further down, however, there is a livelier spring
