Holloway Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

Nice little wooden bridge in the Veluwezoom mtb route. It gives a nice view, but also makes for a nice little challenge, as there are little stairs to conquer when entering and leaving the bridge. Good luck ;)

Fortune Cookie Mountain Bike Trail (Veluwezoom)

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

Fine 'red' mountain bike loop, as an extra next to the main route. Especially the first part is challenging with its downward curves, after that it is (unfortunately) again mainly roots that make it technical. Many brake holes already.

Super fun to do - just not if you are a beginner. The first part is insanely great. Nice bends and minor jumps. The climb back up is not as nice - not just because of the climb, but still highly recommending!

Very nice rolling trail. It does cost a day pass or subscription, but then you get a super maintained route

Another challenging option is the Niner Shooting Mountain Trail (Veluwezoom), which offers a technical practice trail with climbing, descending, cornering, and drops, requiring some experience.

Do I need a special permit or vignette to ride the mountain bike routes?

Yes, an MTB vignette is required for access to the main mountain bike routes, such as the MTB Route Rheden (Veluwezoom). This helps with the maintenance of the trails.

What kind of natural landscapes will I encounter while mountain biking?

The southern part of the main route, situated on a moraine, offers significant elevation changes and natural descents. The park is also home to wildlife like red deer and wild boar, which you might spot during your ride.
