December 10, 2025, Rengg Pass

The Rengg Pass connects Hergiswil and Alpnachstad and was once an important mule track. Today, a beautiful hiking trail leads through forests and past historical sites, including the remains of a medieval defensive wall. The pass offers tranquil nature, steep sections, and views of Lake Lucerne and Mount Pilatus – ideal for a short, historically rich hike.

Hello my lovelies :-) The difficult mountain hike starts at the public car park (fee required) by the cable car in Stans. From here, after about 300 m, it goes very steeply up to the Stanserhorn. On the way there are a few benches and small huts where you can take a break and enjoy the fantastic view of the Alps - simply breathtaking! When I got to the top, I also did the small circular route, which is really beautiful. I ate something there in blazing sunshine. Then I went back down to the starting point, but on a different path. It was muddy in places and there are a lot of leaves in the forest, which makes it difficult to see roots and stones underneath. Caution is advised here. Hiking poles are an advantage if anyone needs them. I had some with me, but didn't need them because I train my balance and coordination without poles. I'll say it very clearly: This tour is only suitable for experienced hikers/mountain hikers. Fitness, surefootedness, a head for heights and alpine experience are essential. If that is not available, take the cable car - there is also the Cabrio cable car that goes up to the Stanserhorn. Up here, as already mentioned, you can do the circular walk, which is very beautiful. Highlights that I experienced: - Pure nature - Fantastic view of the Alps - Wonderful circular walk up at the Stanserhorn FYI: Here is the video https://www.relive.cc/de/view/vevWm45oYG6 Equipment: Normal hiking equipment/mountain boots are an advantage FYI: Difficult mountain hike Difficulty level: T3 (mountain hiking) I wish you all the best and mountain healing
