Trail above Arnoldstein with panoramic views

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

At the end the descent is very rough. Many switchbacks on the entire descent and to get down safely you should be able to drive this well.

Kinder Surprise Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Description

Kindersurprise is perfect name for this trail, it has it all (single trail, jumps, berms…) Whole circle is 10 km long and it would take about 90min to go around / ascent is long 1,5 km.

At the top the trail is more about natural single flow trail with some nice jumps and berms. After that terrain becomes more steep and more difficult. The trail is still half of meter wide and flowy with two steep berms. After this steep part the trail becomes more flat and more like in bikeparks, with big berms and jump line (small jumps and bigger table jumps and one step up). It is possible to roll over all jumps if you don’t want to jump them. After this section obstacles become smaller berms and waves. After the trail you will need to cross small creek and then you start descenting on gravel road. Later on this gravel road crosses asphalt bike lane. To return to Kranjska Gora you must go left and follow the bike lane.

From Trail Days Camp you go into the center of Kranjska Gora and up to the Vršič road. Right after crossing the bridge over river Pišnica (you see Lake Jasna on the right) you must turn left on steep uphill asphalt road. After that the road becomes gravel with nice mellow uphill. The trail Kindersurprise starts on the left side of the road. There is a big sign at the start of the trail.

Bike Park Krvavec

Highlight • MTB Park

Krvavec is located in the Steiner Alps in Slovenia not far from Klagenfurt and near the Slovenian capital Ljubljana. There are six marked trails and a lot of vertical meters: together they add up to around ten kilometers and 1,000 vertical meters of bike fun. The lift takes you up to the start.

The Bikepark Krvavec has been included in the Gravity Card since 2020, with which you can let off steam in the 22 best bike parks in Europe. How about a Slovenia road trip from Kranjska Gora via Krvavec to Maribor?

In summer the park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The day ticket costs 26 euros for adults and 17 euros for children. You can find detailed information about the Bike Park Krvavec here: rtc-krvavec.si/en/activity/bike-park-krvavec.

Flow trail in the Alpine forest

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

Unfortunately, the full course of the trail was not recorded here, but this is evident from the map. The terrain is pretty demanding for a flow trail. I was traveling on a Friday and I met no human soul. So you can take your time and carry one or the other passage if necessary. There are two crossings with forest roads and the possibility to enter or exit the trail. Roughly speaking, the level of difficulty increases slightly during the descent. The beginning is very flowig, but especially the loose rubble in the third section will not be for everyone. I could not complain about mud or badly maintained track.

Great place to stay, especially if you are young. It's run by PAC Sports, and offers adrenaline-park experince, organizes rock-climbing, rafting, canyoning, spelunking, and other activities. They rent e-MTBs, kayaks and SUPs, and can assist you in some other sporting endeavors. Also, one of nicer bathing spots in Bohinj is just below the Hostel. Having a cold beer on the meadow infront of the Hostel, while looking at the lake and the surrounding mountains is an experience many people would cherish. It's not as cozy and "family-like" as it was fifteen years ago, but what is nowadays?

Only for very experienced drivers. Certainly very dangerous when wet on the numerous roots.

Absolutely NO S1!!!!! It's more S2-S3 trail. We only drove the second part. This one looks easy at first but gets very rocky and very washed out very quickly. Large loose stones (approx. 10-20cm) are in the washed-out area. When wet it's definitely an S3Trail! So nothing for beginners and occasional MTB'ler.
