Heid Castle is an impressive building in the Ruwer Valley between the former Lampaden and Heddert train stations. In the 17th/18th Century a manor, which resembled a knight's castle through many conversions, hence the name Heid Castle. The castle is privately owned and inhabited. Once a year, on the first Advent, the gate also opens for the population from near and far to attend the St. Nicholas market, which is organized by Noka (emergency and disaster relief) Heddert every year (except in times of a pandemic).
