no water on the trail if you come from Karlobag, so make sure to bring enough. You walk a lot on rocks that can be also be sharp, so focus on your steps and maybe bring bandages. The climbs are pretty doable, no special gear is needed. Trekking poles recommended. The trail has good markings, it took me about 7 hours with small breaks. I do walk quite fast.

Ljubičko brdo (1320 m) encloses the oštarija field on the north side.
