Shasta and the Klamath Mountains, on the westside there's a great view of Pilot Rock & the Siskiyou Mountains. The trail is accessible from the Pacific Crest trail and the majority of it is a converted road making it fairly easy to access the stunning views.

From the peak of Mule Mountain, there are great views of the Siskiyou mountains and nearby valleys. The trail to get to the top is moderately strenous, as there is a far amount of elevation change, but it is worth the effort to get the views from the top.

The trail up to the base of the rock is generally pretty easy but to get to the actual summit entails some pretty serious scrambling, verging on climbing. The views from the summit are great but you'll still have more than enough to make this hike worthwhile if you don't attempt the final scramble to the top.
