This cave is very impressive, just because of its size. It is the northern entrance to the Hundidiero-Gato cave system. With the appropriate equipment and after obtaining a permit, it is possible to cross the cave system from here to the Cueva del Gato.

Beautiful access to the river and a large "pebble beach" for lying down. From here you can swim into the gorge. Fantastically clear water with lots of fish. Access via the hiking trail is very easy and can be done by almost anyone. Certainly the highlight of this hiking trail.

The Buitreras canyon was declared a natural monument in 2003 and is part of the Alcornocales Natural Park, which is home to towns from Cadiz and Malaga. This beautiful landscape traced by the Guadiaro river takes its name from the large number of griffon vultures that inhabit it.

The Hundidero Cave is located in the municipality of Montejaque, in the province of Malaga, Spain. It is actually the mouth of the speleological system called the Hundidero-Gato system, although the entire collection is usually known by the name of Cueva del Gato. It was declared a Natural Monument of Andalusia in 2019.
