One of the most peculiar places you can find in the Belluno Dolomites, and almost no one knows about it. The Bus del Buson is a fossil gorge: very high and smooth rock walls, total silence, no water — the Ardo stream changed its course millennia ago, leaving this canyon suspended in time. A short (approx. 1.5 h) but challenging circular route: the descent to the gorge is steep and the terrain is slippery even in dry weather. Trekking shoes are essential, poles are recommended. To be avoided in rain or frost.

Attention! The road from Dogna is closed from August 25th to October 31st. Today, our alternative was to drive along the other side of the river to Provagna, after having driven to the closure.
