Fantastic high valley above the Krimml Waterfalls (Salzburger Land, border with Tyrol). When you get to the top of the Krimml Waterfalls, a deep, almost flat (slightly uphill) trough valley of around 25 km in length opens up. After about 12 km from the upper waterfall you will reach the old, venerable Tauernhaus. You can stop here or stay the night. If you are on a bike, I recommend that you first ride to the end of the Trogtal valley (beautiful!) and then stop off at the Tauernhaus on the way back. This valley is a SUPER HIGHLIGHT! and you should really treat yourself!

One of the four southern side valleys of the Großvenediger. Like all the others, the Maurertal valley is a feast for the eyes. The mountain trail to the Essener-Rostocker Hut is always an experience. The trail has been rerouted in the forest area, and this section is also the steepest.

The path had to be partially renewed by DAV volunteers. It was 800 meters high and according to the hiking sign it took 3 hours. Since there is no internet, the recording of walking data is probably incorrect. If you have 5 backpacks or more, you can use the equipment cable car for a fee.
