Recently reopened after repairs with a slight variation from the map route, so be sure to follow the red/white markers!

The Baggero Oasis is the result of the environmental recovery of a large area previously used for mining, located between the municipalities of Merone, Monguzzo, Lambrugo and Lurago d'Erba. Started in 1970, the redevelopment process led to the creation of two lakes in old marl extraction excavations. The area offers pedestrian paths, cycle paths, a children's play area and an innovative Stellar Oasis for astronomical observation. The old cement plant warehouse was converted into a "Park Center" inaugurated in 2015, equipped with classrooms, conference room and a hostel with bar/refreshment area.
