Very scenic quarry. Plenty of graffiti inside.

Impressive quarries, owner one of the most famous companies operating in the Apuan Alps. A disconcerting situation to say the least, the mountain literally eaten.

Super nice stalactite cave. The short, one-hour lap is definitely worth it, unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to do the two additional laps yet. Still on the wish list.

The Grotta del Vento is located in the center of the Natural Park of the Apuan Alps, under Mount Pania Secca in the municipality of Fabbriche di Vergemoli, in the province of Lucca (Tuscany). It is one of the most complete tourist caves in Europe. It has three tourist routes lasting 1, 2, or 3 hours and two adventure routes. The first itinerary (lasting one hour) runs through galleries characterized by the great abundance of concretions all "alive" and of different colors. The second itinerary (lasting 2 hours) includes the previous route and continues descending 75 meters until it reaches the deepest part of the cave which is crossed by a small underground stream. The third itinerary (lasting 3 hours) includes the first two routes and involves the ascent of a perfectly vertical shaft about 90 meters high. As an alternative to the normal tourist itineraries, two adventure trails have been set up for lovers of strong sensations.
