When I was a child, there was a bay in the reeds called "Buernbarg". Locals would swim here if they didn't want to walk as far in as they would on the beach (which slopes gently for a very long time for children). In the 1980s, the Mühlenberg marina was expanded, and in our last year of school we "got to" help clear the roots of the reeds. The bathing area was later given a jetty, which is unfortunately often damaged by ice and storms. However, the bungalow settlement's interest group has been looking after the area very lovingly in recent years, and even if they don't take the grammar on their sign too seriously 😎, many locals still like to swim there today. Unfortunately, strollers don't fit through the barrier.

The path leads north-west between the Szczecin Lagoon and the polders on the Kleiner Haff, always along the top of the dike; willows, reeds or dead trees limit the view of the water; the polder areas are wet, the water is still and smells... of the sea; cranes stand in the meadows and on the banks. Very beautiful.

The port is also a venue for many festivals. The best way is to go up to the jetty and have a nice view of the lagoon from there

Nature lovers will enjoy the tranquility! Along the route, information boards provide interesting facts about the animals that live here, rare protected plants and the various tree populations. From the viewing platform you have a unique view of the natural beauties. Rest areas along the route invite you to have a picnic. The Eggesiner See is a largely still very wet silted-up bog that emerged from the former Eggesiner See. In addition to reed beds and swamp forests, there are also small areas of oscillating grassland and wet meadows rich in species. For "normal" cyclists, the route through the forests and meadows is only suitable to a limited extent, more for mountain bikers.

One of the most beautiful harbors on the Szczecin Lagoon is the Mönkebude marina. Right at the port there is a beach for swimming in the Szczecin Lagoon. The harbor mole protects the ships in the port of Mönkebude from strong waves. You can also take a walk on the pier.

Small marina and small but fine beach. RV sites are also nearby.

The Stettiner Haff, also known as the Oderhaff or Pomeranian Lagoon, is the second-largest lagoon in the Baltic Sea. It's unique because it's largely separated from the Baltic Sea by the islands of Usedom and Wolin, resulting in slightly brackish water. Its vast size (over 900 square kilometers) and shallow average depth (less than four meters) contribute to its distinct character.
Absolutely. The region offers many peaceful spots. The Kron Bellin Campsite, for instance, provides a quiet and natural ambiance directly on the Szczecin Lagoon with its own private sandy beach. The reed-lined shores and idyllic fishing villages along the Haff also offer tranquil settings.
