Seit dem Jahr 1908 wurde der Stollen zunächst als Wasserentnahmestollen und später zusammen mit dem an der Weggabelung im Lennelbach liegenden Stollen der Grube Cleopatra für die Wasserversorgung der Gemeinde Sinn genutzt. Heute dient er der Wasserversorgung des Schwimmbades. Vom Stollen aus führt eine etwa 200 m messende Rohrleitung bis zum Sammelschacht vor dem Mundloch der Grube Cleopatra, der heute am Wegrand noch deutlich sichtbar ist. Von diesem Schacht aus führt eine 1 km lange Leitung entlang des Lennelbachs bis zum ehemaligen Hochbehälter unterhalb des Tennisplatzes und von dort ins Waldschwimmbad.
