The Raftsmen's Memorial, located at the outflow of Lake Attersee, above the Ager Bridge, commemorates the once-thriving timber rafting and shipping industry. It was erected on May 27, 1984, by the local beautification society. The initial design was created by Hannes Haslecker in 1967, and the second by Professor Max Stockenhuber in 1981. Timber rafting was formerly an important economic factor in the Attersee region. Those interested in learning more about this tradition can admire the fascinating exhibits at the local history museum on Gmundnerstrasse. Visits are by appointment only. Florian Preimel's new boat rental service is bringing a breath of fresh air to the shores. Whether it's an electric boat, a pedal boat, or the legendary party boat – every day is an experience on the water. The Preimel family has been based in Attergau since 1947 and is constantly developing its offerings. Following the success of the Attersee boat, already known as a floating party location for up to ten people, Seewalchen is now taking off. Whether it's a birthday, a bachelor party, or a cozy afternoon with friends – music and your favorite drinks will create that holiday feeling! The bathing lake, which is embedded in the idyllic landscape of the Innviertel, invites visitors to enjoy refreshing swimming and water sports activities. With its natural water and surrounding nature, the Prameter bathing lake is a popular destination for families, couples and outdoor enthusiasts alike. The rafters' monument at the outlet of the Attersee, above the Ager Bridge, reminds us of the transshipment point for raftsmen and boatmen. It was built on May 27, 1984 by the Beautification Association. Worth seeing exhibits from the rafting industry, which used to be an important economic factor in the Attersee region, are on display in the home building on Gmundnerstrasse.
