TRIP NOTES.
Kneif 560m, Luxembourg, UN Country High Point.
I walked this along with Signal de Botrange 694m (Belgium) and Vaalserberg 321m (Netherlands) so that I could say I did the Benelux three peaks in one day.

3.7km, 45min, ascent 62m.
An unremarkable hike to take in Luxembourg’s country HP. We took in the white spot marker for Kneiff’s summit top along with the Buergplaz tower (disputed top). You can drive to both tops but we walked. Still nice scenery and plenty of parking at the start point.

The second highest point of Luxembourg marked here is called Buergplaz and is 559m high. Here is a tower that is being renovated as of 8/23. Next to the tower there is a memorial to the US infantry who liberated the Lowest Point of Luxembourg (at Wasserbillig) and the Highest Point of Luxembourg within 3 days.

Zolwerknapp Viewpoint

Highlight • Viewpoint

On this vantage point you can rest on benches in the shade and also has a nice view over the whole area of Soleuvre. It goes much uphill and then back down in the circle. The dogs can let off steam. Unfortunately there is no source of water there, but most of the way is in the shade.

Trail to Bëscht Peak

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

A pleasant trail leading to the peak Bëscht amidst shrubbery, offering ample sunshine on clear days. The SE side is easily discernible, commencing to the right of the guide post and serving as a convenient shortcut. A bench provides respite for weary travellers following the steeper ascent compared to the other half. Locating the NW entrance got harder, possibly due to fallen trees and most likely because it is not anymore displayed on services like OpenStreetMap due to vandalism, diminishing its usage. There seems to be a beginning of trail few meters E from the bench going NNE, the wide grassy path left of it seems blocked. Stay vigilant for the trail, after a few meters, turn ENE for a clearer trail.
