Waterfall in Mannings Wood

Lovely spot where a small brook tumbles steeply through Mannings Wood. The woodland is very atmospheric; lots of vines, fallen trees, and little foot bridges over the water. As aforementioned, very muddy in wet weather.

June 20, 2025, Greyfield Wood Waterfall

We walked this route in June 2025 and there was so much vegetation near the waterfall and further along the route that we had to improvise the route. Otherwise it is a beautiful route with a lot of variety.

Suggest East to West as the climb the other way is very difficult to get traction on

Probably best travelled East to West but possible vice versa. Hilly with roots and rocks in part but with an easier section on the Eastern section navigating around a field. I travelled West to East and had to indulge myself in a bit of hike-a-bike.

Lovely little waterfall in the woods. Can get muddy if there's been a lot of rainfall.
