Parked in a lay-by and then crossed open access land with livestock (cows and sheep) in the field but they kept their distance. After a brisk climb you are viewed with some lively views of the Peak District.

The car park is free for National Trust members. I love climbing but I don't like heights....confusing I know! I really enjoyed this short climb but I found myself on a small scramble which got my blood pumping a little!

The path here heading South East deteriorates into a sheep trail before descending across fields. I must say when we walked here in the blustery rain it was dangerous at one point as you have to traverse across a very steep & slippery rock surface, high up the hill. I would think twice about attempting it.
