Peak is not year-round accessible. Recently attempted a climb in End April and although the trail and terrain is well built out, it was too icy and snowy to make it to the top. No signs or recommendations at the bottom parking lot for this. I would recommend the summer months (June to August), as Eggenipa can cover quickly with snow maling it difficult/dangerous to traverse. Not all lost: if you are still looking to still do a hike and cant/dont feel comfortable with the steeper terrain of Eggenipa, you can always do the hike through the valley itself and enjoy some sun by the mountain lakes :)

A day trip to Støyvastøylen Alm is also interesting for families with children. The well-marked path leads up to the summer pasture with great views of mountains and waterfalls.
