Perry Lake is approximately 11,150 acres with over 160 miles of shoreline. It has the nickname "Paradise on the Plains" and is a very popular destination with it's close proximity to Topeka and Kansas City.

The trailhead is a great spot from which to access the hiking and biking trails along the western coast of Perry Lake. This area is often a good spot to see quail, turkey, and bald eagles. The trailhead is within state park lands and requires a cash only $5 parking fee.
