I didn't see the solar eclipse, but I enjoyed a lot of beautiful views during a 42km run along Lake Constance.

The nautical ambience runs like a thread through the hotel rooms, the gastronomic offerings and the 1,500 square meter wellness area

A very beautiful sculpture of two Lake Constance mermaids. Even from behind, the two invite you to linger.

I think it's a shame that everyone is only focusing on the beautiful bathhouse. The lakeside promenade has so much more to offer. Unfortunately, I forgot to photograph it, otherwise I would have liked to post a few pictures. Now, take this as an incentive and take some nice pictures of the promenade.

The girls riding on a swan are part of the three-part art-in-architecture project "Fountain" for the new building of the St. Gallen Natural History Museum and were created by the British artist Simon Starling. A first display case with two turtle riders was set up in front of the Natural History Museum two years ago. Second appearance for original figures Starling's project is based on the St. Gallen Broderbrunnen, which was created in 1898 by the Toggenburg sculptor August Bösch and financed by the cantonal judge Hans Broder. It commemorates the supply of drinking water from Lake Constance to the city from 1895 onwards. With the three display cases, Starling traces the path of the water from the lake to St. Gallen. The original figures of the Broderbrunnen were replaced by casts in 2000 and from then on housed in the warehouse of the St. Gallen Historical and Ethnological Museum. Fish girl made of coal Simon Starling combines three of these original fountain figures with a cast and places them opposite each other. The casts were made in the St. Gallen art foundry and are made of water-absorbing materials: the twin in front of the Natural History Museum was printed from plastic using a 3D printer and the cavity was filled with silica gel, which can absorb a lot of moisture. The same applies to the terracotta figure in Goldach. from the St. Galler Tagblatt
