St. Bartholomew's Church in Wolkenstein. Info: It looks back on a long history dating back to the late Middle Ages. After a town fire in 1687, it was rebuilt in the style of Saxon late Baroque, with the oldest part, the choir from 1648, being preserved. The striking 35m high tower was completed in 1710.

Passing the Ratsteich pond, we reach the Greifenbach reservoir. The water is gray, the sky is gray, the atmosphere is eerie. Originally constructed as a water reservoir for mining between 1396 and 1404 and later expanded, it now serves as a water supply and recreational area. We re-enter the forest, the trees towering around us, continuing uphill towards the Greifensteine rock formations, enjoying the forest's fragrance. https://youtu.be/jglyT269hvE

The rock massif between Wolkenstein and Floßplatz, the "Wolkenstein Switzerland", is a great place for hiking with small scrambles and wonderful views, but there are also many opportunities for climbing here 🙃.
