Gravel biking in Las Gałkowski offers routes through a preserved natural environment, primarily centered around the Gałków Forest Reserve. The terrain features natural stands of fir, beech, and oak trees, with undulating sections and brown soils developed on glacial till. These conditions create varied forest trails, including areas where water can stagnate after rain due to clay's poor permeability. The diverse flora and ancient trees contribute to the scenic backdrop for gravel biking.

A hunting tower in the forest, also known as a hunting stand, is a type of hunting stand placed on a raised platform, usually several meters above the ground. It serves hunters to observe game and take shots, providing a better vantage point and protecting them from being sniffed out by animals.

Most of those buried here fell during the so-called Łódź Operation, which took place between the German and Russian armies in the period from November to December 1914. Most of them are victims of fighting in the immediate vicinity of Wiączyń, as well as Olechów, Janów, Nowosolna, Dąbrowa, Bedoń and Feliksin. Soldiers who fell in the area during other periods of the Great War are also buried here. According to estimates, about 9 thousand soldiers are buried in the cemetery. Among them are Poles conscripted into the Russian or German army.
