The Church of St. Nicholas and St. Elizabeth in Cheb (more often referred to simply as St. Nicholas Church) is a Roman Catholic church of the Cheb parish, and at the same time the oldest existing church in Cheb. It is located on Kostelní náměstí, in the northeastern corner of Jiřího z Poděbrad square, and thanks to its location on elevated ground, it forms a dominant feature of this part of the city. Originally, it was built as a three-nave Romanesque basilica, but during its existence, it burned down several times and was extensively rebuilt. The church has been protected as a cultural monument since 1970.

Construction of St. Nicholas Church likely began between 1220 and 1230. Only the west portal, parts of the north portal, and the lower sections of the east towers remain from the former basilica. The floor plan resembles that of Bamberg Cathedral, which probably served as a model. The three-aisled nave, the presbytery, and the sacristy date from the Gothic period. After a fire in 1742, the towers were rebuilt with Baroque domes based on a design by Balthasar Neumann, who was born here. In April, the roof was destroyed by a bombing raid.
