Majster Bieda, or Władysław Nadopta (born 1922, died 2005), a true "Bieszczadnik" who came to the Bieszczady Mountains in the 1960s and stayed there for the rest of his life. He was a lumberjack, he collected forest undergrowth and wandered around Bieszczady's pubs, shelters and GOPR stations. He received his nickname "Majster Bieda" from Wojtek Belon, the leader of the Free Group of Bukowina. Wojtek wrote a song about him titled "Majster Bieda" and thus made Nadopta recognizable and the memory of him has not disappeared. In 2023, a monument in the form of a bench with Majster Bieda sitting and looking at the mountains was unveiled in Wetlina.
