This little barrel type of beach sauna is next to the campsite and very close to the sandy beach. View is obviously towards the ocean and a certain privacy is ensured due to little the distance to the campsite.

This impressive lake is tucked between craggy mountain walls and only separated from the sea by a thin strip. It's used to provide drinking water for the locals and fishing is actively encouraged.

And today it has become a habitat for small rodents.. I can't tell if they are small weasels, unfortunately... but there are plenty of them scurrying around here

Overall, more than worth the effort. I especially found the reconstruction of the 'longhouse' impressively beautiful, with demonstrations of old craft skills, such as 'card weaving'. The Viking boat, ax throwing and archery are fun for young and old. For the little ones there are pony rides. Only one disappointment: the 'film', which mainly tells a romantic story, but whose informative value was poor. Count on at least 3 hours for a visit. Entrance tickets: NOK 250 / €10 for adults.

Interesting facility, well reconstructed, gives a good insight into how these people lived at that time. On the way to the lake with the ships there are various play options. This is particularly exciting for families, but not only for them. We were almost alone there today, but not everything outside was ready yet.
