This viewpoint, perched on the Garonne cliffs, offers superb views. To the west, you can see the river winding directly below. To the south, the Pyrenees rise in the distance, enhanced by the church of Montaut in the foreground.

This church dedicated to Saint Stephen was built between the 15th century and the very beginning of the 16th century. It has a remarkable interior decoration, recently restored, donated in the 18th century by an aesthetic priest, Abbé Latour de Lordat, who died at the age of 28 and is buried under the porch.

Great hikes, 3/4 of which are on maintained marked trails, a bit of asphalt to finish after Mauzac but very little used.

Very accessible from Muret. If you are driving, park in the parking lot behind the leisure center, which is much less crowded than the large parking lot.

The panorama over the Garonne valley and the Pyrenees is superb. But you have to earn it, the climb is tough!

This beautiful village is at the crossroads between the mountains and the plain. Its weekly market is really famous and attracts a lot of originals and people who live a bit on the margins of society. We thus meet a heterogeneous crowd as well as craftsmen and traders selling quality products. When the gendarmes arrive to carry out checks, out of solidarity, everyone warns each other. For that, Montbrun makes me think of a village of irreducible Gauls. Apart from Sunday which is lively, there are often deserted streets, but also the best baker in the area.
