Lacey Green Windmill is a fully-functional 17th-century windmill situated on the escarpment of the Chiltern Hills. It is the oldest smock windmill in the country. Built around 1650, the windmill had fallen into a state of disrepair by the 1970s. However, thanks to the hard work of volunteers, the windmill has been restored back to working order, including its unique wooden machinery. Lacey Green Windmill is Grade II-listed.
