This paved shared-use trail alongside the River River Rhymney is a really delightful way to avoid the busy Newport Road on the other side of the industrial estate, and you get to soak up some nature too. The trail features on National Cycle Route 4 and the Celtic Trail, but be sure to take care here as it is also popular with walkers and runners from nearby Bedwas and Trethomas.

Best way up on a bike - use the lower right hand route then go up the side of the mountain from in a SE direction. You can then choose the fun route down!

Good little cut through up over into Lisvane. Good climb up through the farm Passable on a road bike just turns a bit rough past the farm. Also watch out for the gate after the first decent.
