Great Lake to run around, paths are a little bumpy but that doesnโt spoil the run

Great street art of Mog and Mog under the M1 on the old railway cycle path. Storyboard runs from one side to the other and is well worth stopping to take it all in. I exited the under past with a big smile and great feeling from my childhood ๐๐ผ

A Milton Keynes outlying area of common land that deserves more attention. It is large tract of countryside and really quite beautiful and peaceful. A great area for a hike or walk and quieter than most of the other areas in Milton Keynes.

Tongwell Lake seems to be Milton Keynesโ very own swan haven. The path around the lake is easy to follow as it only takes around 30 minutes to walk the whole way round. At times itโs not possible to see the lake through the reeds and bushes but in the openings you can enjoy some nice views of nature. Thereโs a large island in the middle of the lake, so if youโre a birdwatcher we recommend bringing some binoculars to spot any birds over there.

A variety of lovely country walks surround the town of Newport Pagnell. It's a splendid base, with a number of good eateries and a few nice places to stay. Its position on the River Ouse gives it good access to the nature reserves and pleasant scenery of the Ouse Valley Park to the west, while closer by are Ousebank Gardens and Bury Field Common. The latter is a large area of common that has been historically used for football and cricket but is today a tranquil place for an amble.
