Take a few mins to sit on one of the benches and take in the scenary. This is a good rest spot as there's a cafe where you can get some food or just sit outside with your pack lunch. This is a very popular touristy destination so expect it to be busy in the summer months

Once a bustling port handling goods from across the globe, it is now a perfect spot to begin your journey or take a well-deserved rest. The old railway line, originally built for transporting goods, now forms part of the scenic Tarka Trail.

One of the largest medieval bridges in Britain dating back to the mid 13th Century. Comprising of 16 pointed masonry arches, varying in span from 5.5 metres (18 ft) to 7.9 metres (26 ft) giving a total length of 159 metres (522 ft)

The cafe is built in an old station building and serves delicious cakes, full English breakfasts and hearty jacket potatoes. Fremington Quay has an interesting history: In the early 1800s, the Quay was a bustling port used to transport goods around the UK. Today, you can learn about its industrial history at the Heritage Centre. The cafe is open from 9am - 5pm daily, with breakfast served until 11am.
