Unfortunately you can't see much of the castle from the road. The best views are from further away, as you enter the village, where the top of the keep rises above the trees.

Great location overlooking the village green but Finchingfield can get super-busy in the summer so be prepared for queues on a nice weekend. Open 9am-4pm (closed Tue)

Lovely little village always full of cyclists and motorcycles, you have a lovely pub and next door a bistro as well as a couple of cafes which all serve amazing food from bacon sarnies to full blown roast dinners.
