Ravensthorpe reservoir and weir was built in 1890 to supply water to Northampton. Today you can wander around the beautiful water source and enjoy bird-watching, fishing, or just an opportunity to get some fresh air.

Idyllic spot for a picnic as well as a regular hang-out spot for some of our feathered friends such as geese and swans, and some rarer species such as the ring-necked duck and common crane.

Built around 1702, a great example of Queen Anne architecture. Supposedly the inspiration for Jane Austen's Mansfield Park, the house and grounds are well worth stopping by. The award winning gardens in particular are spectacular.

This attractive Northamptonshire village lies on the route of the Jurassic Way long-distance footpath and is an important stop off just above Watford Gap. There are a number of amenities for walkers, including three pubs, one of which has rooms for the night. There are also bed and breakfast options and a grocery store.
