Beautiful parkland and a good cafe

Take it easy from the start as it is quite a steep climb - I had to stop half way up and walk :-) Once up in the woods the paths can be quite confusing to navigate so beware !!

Be careful to follow the National Trust path here. You go straight ahead at the junction. On the map it looks as if you go to the right but you just end up in someone's garden!

The highest public road in Norfolk - 102m. Much steeper on the north side.

I didn't see any lions, just a lot of squirrels.

Impressive country house, run by the National Trust but the driveway through the grounds is open to cyclists without charge.

Sexton's Lodge is one of the entrances to the Felbrigg Estate. The house was built in 1864 in the neo-Jacobean style and can now be rented as a holiday home from the National Trust. It has a beautiful garden.
