A new S-Bahn station is to be built east of Sputendorfer Straße. This will make Stahnsdorf the new terminus of the S-Bahn line extended from Teltow. In the future, S-Bahn trains will depart from here every 10 minutes to central Berlin. A central platform with two tracks is planned. A storage facility with four tracks is planned northeast of the new station.
