In the summer and during some school holidays, trains on the heritage railway run from Faaborg to Korinth. Further information about the route and timetables can be found at https://veteranbanen-faaborg.dk/. The heritage railway is part of the former Ringe-Faaborg Railway (RFB). When the Ringe-Faaborg Railway (RFB) was built in 1882, it was intended to have a station at the intersection of the road between Faaborg and Nyborg. The station was named after the nearby inn, and thus the growing small station town also received the name "Korinth." Passenger service on the line was discontinued in 1962. Freight traffic continued on the line until 1987. After that, the Syd Fyenske Veteranjernbane operated veteran trains. They were able to continue operations as far as Ringe until 2002, when the tracks became too deteriorated and service had to be limited to the Korinth-Faaborg section.
