Les Královstvi is a valley dam reservoir on the Elbe River built in 1920. It is located near Tešnov in the cadastral territory of Bílá Třemešná and Nemojov in the district of Trutnov in the Hradec Králové region. After the devastating flood of 1897, which affected the Elbe valley as far as Pardubice, it was decided to build two water works that would contain the torrential waters - the Labská dam (near Špindlerův Mlýn) and the Tešnovská dam (today's Les Království dam). The technical department for river management in Prague began to prepare the documents for the construction project in 1903. The construction took place between 1910 and 1920 (the First World War caused a delay). The cost of building the dam was 4.7 million Austrian crowns. After the construction was completed, it was the largest water reservoir in the then Czechoslovak Republic.
