Kjorsfjell, supposedly only 282 meters high, is a fantastic spot. Fishing was canceled today due to a storm, so I headed up the mountain, where I caught some nice fish. From Hidra, I took the ferry and headed toward Flekkefjord, then turned off to Itland. The trail begins right here. An off-road vehicle or SUV isn't necessary, but it can't hurt either. It's important to have a good feel for the width of the trail when encountering oncoming traffic, or to remember where the last opportunity to avoid it was, as the trail is more of a forest path in parts. Two trails branch off from the parking lot. Take the left one with the gate; the right one is a trail for trackers, and it's perfect for trackers. The view is breathtaking... have fun if you want to give it a try.
