Very beautiful and quiet location. There is covered seating (at least for 20 people). The Halten forest hut can be reserved (from the local authority). However, it is unclear whether a reservation excludes other people from using it.

The castle is owned by the Swiss National Bank and is now a very popular seminar hotel. It is also booked up long in advance for weddings - no wonder given its location! Sun, lake, and a magnificent mountain view of the Bernese Alps peaks! The hotel is recommendable and has a great kitchen.
