Another of the great old-fashioned canal lift-up bridges, definitely worth cycling over.

Manually operated bridge, old simply technology and it still works fine. Good to see when boats go underβ¦

The Llangollen Canal has some gorgeous old lifting bridges which have been in operation for generations. The Tilstock Park Bridge is a great example and must be hand operated by boaters who want to pass. If you're lucky, you might get to see it lifted and a boat pass through; perhaps cross it first though, so you don't have to wait!

Unlike Roundthorn Bridge just to the north east, Morris' Bridge lifts via a hand-operated windlass. Sitting just above the water level, it's a remarkable experience to watch the bridge lift and allow a canal boat underneath. Built around 1800, the bridge has enjoyed renovations but largely remains in its original form.
